And no company can take into account or control every third party piece of software a user decides to install on their system. They can be just as sloppy and often are. Don't delude yourself that apple is any better than anyone else when it comes to software. I have a hard time accepting ".Quriks." as an answer to this question. Granted I am not a Teckie such as yourself - I don't have 13,000 Plus Points - but my history with Apple was that I was a User back in the early 90's - then for about 20 yrs I was forced to use PC's I have been back in the Apple Fold since the 2008's - I have come to expect that Apple just works.

Well there's a major problem right there! Get rid of MacKeeper. When I installed MacKeeper I had the same problem - had to use FF. Apparently there's a problem with these with the current flock of browsers. These were installed when you installed Adobe Reader.

If you installed Adove PDF Reader the fact that you cannot see pdfs's in safari is a different problem and has an explaination. I cannot dowload PDF Files same thing happens - either asks me to install Adobe PDF Reader or I have to go to FF. Keep safari's Windows menu/Downloads to monitor whether it is downloading. But I would assume you don't see the download because it didn't download because safari should have brought up it's download window if it had. It does not dowload - it takes about 2 minutes for the Blue Highliter to run across the address and then it just sits and does nothing - I look in my Download Folder and there is nothing there.ĭon't know why it takes so long to process the download link.
